Select Air Source Heat Pumps
Air source heat pumps work by absorbing heat from the outside air and transferring it into your home. Modern heat pumps can reduce your electricity use for heating by approximately 50% compared to electric resistance heating such as furnaces and baseboard heaters.
- SEER Rating: 15 or higher
- HSPF Rating: 8.5 or higher
- EER Rating: 12.5 or higher
Select Cold Climate Air Source Heat Pumps
Cold climate air source heat pumps are designed specifically for very cold climates and can efficiently extract heat from air with temperatures far below 0°F. These heat pumps provide a very efficient way to heat your home, lower electric bills and improve comfort.
- SEER Rating: 15 or higher
- COP at 5°F: 1.75 or higher (at maximum capacity operation)
- HSPF Rating: 10 or higher (non-ducted systems)
- HSPF Rating: 9 or higher (ducted systems)
Select Clothes Washers
Energy-efficient clothes washers use about 25% less energy and 40% less water than conventional models. They can also cut drying time and reduce wear-and-tear on clothing with gentler cleaning action.
Select Clothes Dryers
Energy-efficient clothes dryers use 20% less energy than conventional models. They also use sensor drying instead of timed drying, which helps reduce energy use by shutting the dryer off when clothes are dry.
ENERGY STAR® certified refrigerators use up to 15% less energy than standard, less-efficient models. That can add up to $150 in electricity savings over the lifetime of your fridge. Qualifying models must be 10 to 30 cubic feet.
ENERGY STAR certified dehumidifiers use 15 percent less energy than conventional modes to remove the same amount of moisture from the air. You could power a refrigerator for three months with the energy you can save in a year running an efficient dehumidifier.
Select Advanced Thermostats
ENERGY STAR certified advanced thermostats can help reduce your energy use by automatically adjusting the temperature based on daily weather conditions, schedules, and heating and cooling needs. You can also use a computer or smartphone to monitor and adjust your home’s temperature remotely.
Qualified Furnace Fans with Electronically Commutated Motors (ECM)
Furnace Fans with ECMs use 25% to 75% less energy than standard fan motors, maintain more consistent temperatures, and are typically quieter than traditional furnace fans.
Eligibility information: ECMs are available on some new furnaces or can also be added to an existing one. All ECMs purchased with a new unit or an existing one are eligible for rebate.
Select Heat Pump Water Heaters
ENERGY STAR certified heat pump water heaters can cost half as much to operate as traditional electric water heaters. On average, a family of four can save more than $3,500 over the lifetime of the unit.
Select Advanced Power Strips
Many of your appliances and electronics use power even when turned off. You can save up to $100 per year by using an advanced power strip, which can turn off power to items plugged into it.
Select Ceiling Fans with Lights
ENERGY STAR certified ceiling fans with lights can save you more than $15 per year on utility bills. They are 60% more efficient than conventional fans with lights, and feature improved motors and blade designs.
Select Pool Pumps
ENERGY STAR pool pumps can save you thousands of dollars over their lifetime and can pay for themselves in less than two years.
