Wadsworth Electric Customers Can Receive Up to $115 for Recycling an Eligible Appliance

For a limited time, Efficiency Smart is offering City of Wadsworth Electric and Communication customers up to $115 for responsibly recycling an eligible refrigerator, freezer, window air conditioner, or dehumidifier. 

Wadsworth customers can choose between two options to responsibly recycle an appliance.

Attend the drop-off event on Saturday, September 27

Customers who bring a working dehumidifier, mini fridge, or window air conditioner to Efficiency Smart’s drop-off event will receive $115 for each unit recycled. The drop-off event will take place from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. on Saturday, September 27, at the north parking lot of Art Wright Stadium in Wadsworth. Customers attending the drop-off event should bring a recent copy of their electric bill.

Schedule a free pickup

Customers who schedule a free pickup of a working refrigerator, freezer, window air conditioner, or dehumidifier will receive $100 for each unit recycled. Appliances can be scheduled for pickup through September 30.

In addition to receiving up to a $115 reward for each unit responsibly recycled, residents will also save on their electric bill from no longer running an older appliance.
