St. Marys Electric Customers Can Receive Up to $100 For Recycling an Eligible Appliance

For a limited time, Efficiency Smart is offering City of St. Marys Municipal Electric System customers up to $100 for responsibly recycling an eligible refrigerator, freezer, window air conditioner, or dehumidifier. 

St. Marys customers can choose between two options to responsibly recycle an appliance.

Attend the drop-off event on Saturday, September 28

Customers who bring a working dehumidifier, mini fridge, or window air conditioner to Efficiency Smart’s drop-off event will receive $100 for each unit recycled. The drop-off event will take place from 10 A.M. to noon on Saturday, September 28 at the Chestnut Street Parking Lot located at 140 S. Chestnut St. in St. Marys.   

Schedule a free pickup

Customers who schedule a free pickup of a working refrigerator, freezer, window air conditioner, or dehumidifier will receive $75 for each unit recycled. Appliances can be scheduled for pickup through September 30.

In addition to receiving up to a $100 reward for each unit responsibly recycled, residents will also save on their electric bill from no longer running an older appliance.
