Efficiency Smart, Local Community Organizations Partner to Provide Free LEDs to Wadsworth Electric Customers

City of Wadsworth Electric and Communication customers who use the services of either Community Action Wayne/Medina or the Salvation Army Food Bank in Wadsworth can now receive four free LED lightbulbs, thanks to partnerships between Efficiency Smart and the two community organizations.
Community Action Wayne/Medina administers the federal Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) for Wadsworth residents. – City of Wadsworth Electric and Communication customers who meet the federal HEAP income guidelines are eligible for the free LEDs. The Salvation Army holistic programs and services designed to improve lives and impact in the community, including its Food Bank service. Wadsworth electric customers who use the food pantry are eligible for the free LEDs. Those interested can call 330-334-1199 for more information.
Replacing incandescent lights with LEDs can help save on electric bills, as LEDs last up to 10 times longer than incandescent lightbulbs and can save you $90 or more in electric costs over their lifetime.
