Appliance Recycling Now Available for Lewes Board of Public Works Electric Customers

Efficiency Smart is rewarding Lewes Board of Public Works electric customers for recycling a working refrigerator, freezer, dehumidifier or room air conditioner.

Through the new Appliance Recycling Rewards program, Lewes BPW customers can schedule a free pick-up of an eligible appliance and receive a $50 reward once it has been responsibly recycled.

To celebrate the launch of the program, Efficiency Smart is increasing the reward to $60 for every unit scheduled through December 31.

“Older appliances can use much more energy than new ENERGY STAR® certified models,” said Jamie Abrusci, program manager for Efficiency Smart. “Efficiency Smart’s Appliance Recycling Rewards program offers a simple and free way for participating residential customers to responsibly recycle their outdated appliances, receive a reward, and save on electric bills.”
