Efficiency Smart to Give Away Free CFLs at Kurtz Ace Hardware
Electric customers of Napoleon Light & Power and other Efficiency Smart participating communities eligible
August 19, 2013 (NAPOLEON, OHIO) – Efficiency Smart, in partnership with Napoleon Light & Power, will be at the Kurtz Ace Hardware in Napoleon on Friday, August 30, 2013 to give away free compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs). Customers are encouraged to bring their standard incandescent light bulbs to exchange for up to five free standard CFLs. Only electric customers of Napoleon Light & Power and other municipal electric systems that participate in Efficiency Smart are eligible. Details follow:

Requirements: Customers of electrical municipal systems that participate in Efficiency Smart should bring a copy of a utility bill for eligibility verification and up to five working standard incandescent light bulbs to exchange. Free CFLs will be given to eligible customers while supplies last.
Replacing incandescent light bulbs with CFL equivalents is a simple way to save money on utility bills. CFLs use 75 percent less energy while lasting up to ten times longer than incandescent bulbs. There are many energy-efficient products that can help consumers save money on their electric bills. Efficiency Smart offers several incentives to Napoleon Light & Power electric customers promoting these savings. For more information about Efficiency Smart, visit www.efficiencysmart.org.
Efficiency Smart’s services include rebates for energy-efficient residential products; free removal of old, inefficient refrigerators and freezers from homes; and rebates for more than 90 energy-efficient products and services for businesses. Efficiency Smart also offers technical assistance, account management services, and customized financial incentives for large commercial and industrial customers. Efficiency Smart was established by American Municipal Power for the benefit of its member communities. It is administered under contract with the Vermont Energy Investment Corporation. Operations are based in Columbus, Ohio.
